Linux -> Windoof, Column is disturbing saving

#1 Post by bitman » 2022-10-20 10:41

Hello,

I'm unfortunately too stupid to get into the bug tracker... :-(

I love filezeilla.

And since it's also available in the repository on Linux, I use it between Linux and Windows as well.
Unfortunately on Windows you cannot use various characters that are allowed in Linux in file names.
The most important thing that has been bothering me for a long time when saving and transferring email archives is the colon.
A transfer attempt from the SSH server on Linux to the Windows client always triggers errors.

I used the latest Version. But there is no improvement.

I would be glad, to get a solution,

many greetings
bitman

Not stupid, just needs a separate registration.

Beware! Linux Repository versions are often outdated or modified, and, more importantly, they are not supported by us.

As for the problem, you could activate invalid character filtering (in Settings - Transfers). By default, characters are replaced with an underscore. Warning, the original characters will get lost, so, don't delete the originals!

Shit!
Filter is enabled. German Version 3.61.0
Die folgenden Zeichen werden ersetzt: \/:*?"<>|

Leider wird der Doppelpunkt nicht ersetzt.

Normally it should be, as the colon is part of the list.

@botg, could you take a look?
