My new website host (Turbify) has a system that generates the host name I should use for FileZilla. It does NOT include the 's'. It uses only ftp.example.com. Not ftps or sftp.
On their website it says " All FTP sessions require an FTPS connection along with TLS 1.2 protocol support for increased system security."
On FileZilla's site is says " FileZilla: supports all of ...
standard FTP
FTP over TLS (= FTPS i think)
SFTP
But I cannot get a connection with/without the 's' in ftp, no matter if I specify "use explicit FTP over TLS if available" or "require explicity FTP over TLS"
When use the 's' in host name when setting up Site Manager

The hostname itself is completely independent from the used protocol. If is customary to hint at a protocol in a hostname, but it has no actual meaning.
