editor not found

#1 Post by ptux » 2023-03-09 13:21

HI,
I use filezilla on OpenSuse Tumbleweed.

If I connect to my server and try to edit a file (view/edit tool), filezilla asks me to select an editor (it seems I don't have a default one).

If I try to put the path to my favorite editor, it won't accept and replies: "the file doesn't exist".

Tried with: geany, kate, and pluma (output of "which geany" is /usr/bin/geany): I entered the path and... nothing: it can't find the editor file.

Can you help me in fix this problem?

Are you using the official FileZilla binaries provided through https://filezilla-project.org/ , or are you a third-party build, e.g. via your distribution?
