550 Permission denied critical file transfer error

FileZilla 3.63.2.1 attempting to transfer game mod files to G-Portal hosting.

When attempting to transfer ~6000+ files to a subscription hosting service, around 60 of the files fail with this same error. All other files are successful.

Here is a recreation example of the activity log with just a single file. IP's have been redacted.

To circumvent this issue I was able to create a zip archive and push that file to the folder without error. Now here comes the fun part...

I then opened a ticket with the host support to have them extract the zip, which they did. When I attempt to move the files they did not appear to me in that folder on the host side, even though the host was able to see and move them to the appropriate folder to complete my transfer.

I have looked through several posts and threads about this error but not encountered anything that would explain or remedy what is happening here. So here I am to ask the pros!

Suggestions and knowledge sharing are welcomed!

That server doesn't allow .dll files to be uploaded -- this is an issue with the hosting company.

They are blocking certain file types (or at least file extensions). If a .dll rule exists, most likely they also have an .exe restriction (among others) --

That was my first thought but there are 94 files with .dll extensions in the mod pack. 35 of them transferred successfully, ~60 failed.

Are there different types of dlls that could be flagged one way or another? It's a mystery to me.

The server might have an AV or Malware scanner that mistakenly interprets some DLLs and EXEs as being infected. As a result, they are blocked from upload.
I then opened a ticket with the host support to have them extract the zip, which they did. When I attempt to move the files they did not appear to me in that folder on the host side, even though the host was able to see and move them to the appropriate folder to complete my transfer.
Now the tricky question - did they also use FTP?

Filenames are long and have multiple dots. Try uploading the same file under a different name. Something short and unassuming, like the letter A
