Files truncated during upload

#1 Post by Mikeul » 2023-06-30 09:09

Hi !

I've got a little trouble ... somes files are corrupted / truncated during upload ...

From window 10 to debian server

pdf, png, ... any type of file

I force binary mode, same results, filezilla says "transfert done xxx octets ..." but on line not all the octets are here .... very strange

I try to use winscp and no problem, so i think it's a filezilla bug ?

I just install the last verssion this morning : (FileZilla Client Version: 3.65.0-rc1 ) but this not correct the trouble.

If you need more informations tell me ...

Attached screen capture

Hi again ...

I just got an idea ...

I try to force connection without TLS and ... it works perfectly (see attached screen).

I connect with a VPN ... if this can help ...

So the bug seems to be in the TLS connection ?

Thnaks

Which FTP server software (product and version) are you using?

Server : debian 11.7 - pure-ftpd 1.0.49-4.1.

Tested with client : Ubuntu 22.04 et filezilla 3.58.0 with TLS : ok

Windows 10 - Client Version: 3.65.0-rc without TLS : ok

Windows 10 - Client Version: 3.65.0-rc with TLS : truncated files but not all, and not always at the same size ... very strange ...

Very peculiar. According to the log FileZilla did infact process the entire file, yet only parts appeared on the server.

Interestingly, the size on the server ends up exactly at 16KiB, a clean power of two.

Do you still experience this issue if you go back to FileZilla 3.64.0?

I now installed the exact same version of pure-ftpd 1.0.49-4.1 on a Debian 11 machine, and I am unable to reproduce the issue.
Tested with client : Ubuntu 22.04 et filezilla 3.58.0 with TLS : ok
Windows 10 - Client Version: 3.65.0-rc with TLS : truncated files but not all, and not always at the same size ... very strange ...
Could you please verify, clicking the lock icon in the status bar after connecting to the server, that the displayed fingerprints are exactly the same on both machines?
