default resume function not working

I have tried reinstalling and erasing all the .xml files and all filezilla files and folders but everytime i use my client and restart transfers or close client and restart the files begin from 0% again. I have selected resume under setting and the transfer tab but nothing works. any help would be appreciated. Using windows vista
