At age 92 I need help. Suddenly my FileZilla account does not work.

The test at the end of the network configuration wizard always tests active mode. You are behind a NAT router. In order to use active mode, both FileZilla and the NAT router, as well as any firewalls involved, need to be properly configured: The client needs to be told its public IP address, and the configured data connection port range needs to be forwarded in the NAT router.
