Host Key

#1 Post by falger » 2023-11-01 14:29

Hi

I do want to connect to an SFTP Server.
First time I canceld the host key demand, not activating the field to save it.
No I am not able to connect to the server again, and the demand does not show again.

I tried to delete and recreate the server entry in the server manager, deleted the entry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\SshHostKeys.

Does anyone have a solution to solve this problem?

Thanks,
Fredy

Rejecting the host key doesn't result in not being able to connect again.

Something else must be wrong. Perhaps the server is not working properly and coincidentally decided to go offline at that moment?

Server is online.
I also tried multiple times.
Connection is rejected and the demand for saving the key does not show again.

Maybe the server is blocking your IP address? Try changing addresses.

I do not believe this.
My co-worker is able to connect, but he checked the demand to save the host key.
The SFTP server is external, so he comes with the same ip address.

I am sure, it has to do with not saving the host key and the demand that does not show anymore.
