I've been having a difficult time reproducing this, even though I have repeatedly. If someone can help me reproduce it, I can supply the resources to the FileZilla team to fix it.

I would really like to accomplish this for the good of the land. Can anyone give me some really reproducible testing scenarios?

Thanks.

Should I drag in or out of Filezilla? (or within itself)

any further insight on this? or just downgrade to 3.0.6 to resolve?

dragging from left pane to right pane in filezilla crashes, or dragging from finder to either pane craches

fz 3.0.11 osx 10.5.3

There is no bug. Everything works fine on my system.

oook. so its not a bug.

but how do i make it stop crashing anytime I drag something from anywhere to either pane (including from within fz)?

fresh install, eclipse, MAMP, firefox, adium and filezilla were installed

I went through and installed these versions and tested both left pane drag to right pane drag, and a file from the finder drag into the fz right pane drop

3.0.11 crash
3.0.10 crash
3.0.9.3 crash
3.0.8.1 crash
3.0.7.1 crash
3.0.7 crash
3.0.6 works

So as the previous poster indicated, something between 3.0.7 and 3.0.6 breaks fz

I tried 3.0.11 on an older power pc based mac with much more installed and it worked fine (my intel one crashes). Is your mac ppc or intel?

Then prove me wrong. Either debug it yourself or give me access to your machine. As long as I cannot reproduce it myself I have to assume there is no bug.

just trying to find any differences between the macs, like I said I tried 3.0.11 on a ppc mac and it did not crash doing drag and drop by my intel mac did. why the cpu would have ANYTHYING to do with it I dont know and obviously isnt the case anyways... but it was the immediate difference between the 2 macs I tried

are there any underlying frameworks fz uses?

for example sometimes an app does not work on a specific JRE

I suspect a driver issue. What's your graphics card?

I've been having this issue on my iMac for several releases. Let me know if there is anything I can provide to help resolve this issue...
