Ignore certain files when uploading?

#1 Post by Thox » 2005-01-06 19:00

I don't know if this is an existing feature or one for the future as I've not been able to find it. I've got quite a few projects in CVS where I want to update the project onto a different server without the CVS information.

So I basically want to filter out uploading any file with \CVS\ in the path. This would speed up my tranfers a hell of a lot, as many of these projects have deeply nested subfolders.

Is there anything to achieve that already implemented?

This is planned for FileZilla 3.

I would also like this feature so I can have filezilla ingore the 'Thumbs.db' that windows generates.

Not only can they be quite big and take a while to upload but there seems to be some crawlers that are actively seeking this file and wasting bandwidth.
