I have the same issue.. Unfortunately, the FileZilla client continually connects and disconnects for EACH file.. Is there a way to maintain a connection instead? As it does this, it counts upwards on the port number until either it runs out of files, or the remote server thinks we are hacking.

Very frustrating..

I think this is what our turkish friend is experiencing also..

Can this be fixed?

BTW, Thank you so much for a fantastically written application. (Beats my Ansi-colored DOS program, but I got to figure out how to put my encryption behind it.)

I've just started experiencing the same issue. The only thing I know that has changed is an upgrade that I applied recently on FileZilla. 3.0.10 I can connect and ftp one file, but my too many connections is capped at 2! So I have to disconnect and wait for the sessions to timeout after each file transfer. Been using the software for several months before this without issue. Besides this message, I don't see any other errors in the log when I scroll back through it. Looks like it disconnects successfully after each file ftp. Any suggestions?

With two connections, you can only transfer one file at a time, unless you disconnect the browsing connection, then you can transfer 2.

Correct, I noticed the issue with this host early on and set the maximum simultaneous transfers to 1...annoying, but it had been working until yesterday.

Actually, it really is handling 2 files at once, but it is waiting for the server to respond ready to send.. some servers are faster than others..

I have successfully had 8 connections running at once, but because FZ opens and closes connections for every single file, it racks up the numbers quickly, and locks out ftp transfers alltogether... (if you watch closely, the last number in the connection line increments to somewhere over 100.)

So would it be the belief that the servers side changed something this week causing the issue? This is a new problem, so I'm trying to figure out a direction to pursue!

I'm new to all this but would like someone to help me PLEASE.....
Again I keep getting the error message,

421 I can't accept more than 1 connections as the same user

Have tried a few different way to correct this but still getting the message.
Only uploaded 1 file & it will not do anymore Just keep getting that message.

Create a Sitemanager entry for this server and set 'Limit number of simultaneous connections' to 1.

Didn't work for me. Just started using this and it sucks. I'm just trying to upload ONE small file. It connects okay and then I switch directories and try to upload and I get 421 Too many connections error. I close program and restart it and then can't even connect. Very aggravating. Been doing this many years and never had a problem with FTP. Don't mean to be a bitch but this is simple stuff. I use CuteFTP Pro on desktop but decided to try this on laptop. Works once in a while but not too much.

Did you already reduce the no. of connections to 1? Because beeing connected and transferring one file already uses 2 connections.
