As an admin, you should take security flaws on FTP servers very serious. I understand it's not always possible to update right away, though, especially on production systems (you'd have to wait for the next maintenance outage).

For whom it may concern: 0.9.28 in combination with client 3.1.5 no longer reproduces the following error on the client side.

Code: Select all

Error: Transfer connection interrupted: ECONNABORTED - Connection aborted

First off I want to thank the Filezilla team for all your hard work. I recently had the Server did not properly shut down TLS connection error. Took me about 3 hours to resolve the problems on my CentOS 5 server which involved upgrading ProFTPD and fixing the problems that caused. This is because i am a linux noobie but this upgrade can easily be done in under 20 min with fixes if you know what you are doing. Its very long or i would post it here. Here is a link to my tutorial.

This is no Filezilla bug - the bug is in the FTP servers. Filezilla was buggy before by not erroring out in this situation.

You should reconsider your headline.

I'll update that headline tonight. Late at night and tired. I'm sure all coders been there :) After thinking about it Filezilla only helped people realize their server was somewhat insecure.

No problem, no offense taken. It just does shed a wrong light on the situation if it would stay like this. Who likes to use buggy software (except Windows)? 8)
