421 error - using upgraded version

Hi all,

I keep getting this error message when I try to transfer files. It is the 421 error, "too many connections (8) from this IP"

What does that mean? I tried sending files very slowly and one at a time but the system kept timing out. Thinking it may have been a problem with the version I was using, I upgraded to 3.1.1.1 but I'm still having the same issues. Please help.

Also I'm not a huge computer techy type person so if you can explain this step by step of what I need to do I'd really appreciate it. I tried googling it but didn't find a solution.
