i work on a lot of files that i have to upload over the course of the day, and i have an issue where after a minute of no activity filezilla will disconnect me, the exact error i get is:

Error: Network error: Software caused connection abort

Can anyone help me with the setting to keep the connection open longer. Thank you.

No, because the setting is on the server. You could try enabling keep-alive in the settings, however, there are no guarantees.
