network

#1 Post by pat » 2005-03-30 08:01

hi :)

well, this is "my" problem :

i have some machines networked
filezilla is installed on the main machine

usually, with an other ftp client, i can d/l directly the files on a machine networked, because i can choose any machine networked

with filezilla (that i would like to use), i can't do it because i "see" only the hd of the main machine and not the network.

in short, it seems that Filezilla doesn't see the network.

is it possible to improve that ?

FileZilla is an FTP Client, and thus needs to connect to an FTP Server. Do the other machines you're connecting to on your network all have FTP Servers running on them? Sounds to me like the other client you've used supports Windows File Sharing in addition to FTP.

The main machine is under Millenium with files sharing indeed (the other machines inside the network are under Millenium, Win2k and Win98SE)

Left : my "desktop"

Right : the ftp

I click on the icon "network" , i see all my hd's and i send the files from the ftp inside the network, where i wish.

But i need to see the network.

The ftp client that i'm using allows that but not FileZilla.
