Feature Request: Drive letter in FileZilla Client (sftp)

Hi There,

Thanks for putting so much time in this project. I've been using xampp for several years now and i find it very convenient.

I have set up my ftp server, opened up some ports and got it all working. I love it, but still i'm missing a very big functionality. I would like to see that like Netdrive you could make a sftp connection with drive letter. The reason why is, i don't like syncing, so i would like to access some files and my outlook.pst over the internet. If I use Netdrive (which i'm doing now) it sends a blank password (correct?) over the internet. That's something i'm not happy about.

So this is my request. I hope you can find a way to accomplish that.

The FTP and SFTP protocols have not been designed for that. You'd need something like a VPN or WebDAV.

Example: Your outlook.pst would have to be completely downloaded every time you access it and re-uploaded every time there is a change. With other words: You cannot operate with files directly on the server using FTP/SFTP, only transfer 'em. This makes the drive letter very inconvenient.

I want that too. With a drive letter I can write a program to update the website. Until recently I used Netdrive, but Netdrive recently showed only empty directories. I downloaded a new version of Netdrive, which wants me to login with a Google or Facebook account - and then it does nothing (or it does not explain what I can do). FileZilla is better, but it has an unnecessary large window, and AFAIK it only allows manual transfers.

FileZilla Pro CLI (paid) is designed run from the command line, and can be fully operated using scripts.
