Feature requests

#1 Post by MacDisein » 2004-04-29 20:23

Hi,

I have two feature requests for FileZilla:

1. Option to automatically select the same remote folder as the local folder.
This feature is included in e.g. WinSCP.

If you open a local folder the same folder opened on remote side automatically if it exists. There have to be the same folder structure on both sides.

2. Add another feature to the context menu on remote side - Copy URL to clipboard.
So you can copy the complete path to a selected file into the clipboard.
For example ftp://mydomain.de/folder/file.ext

Hope you can integrate it in one of the next releases!

I think this would be very useful. I have a suggestion for an enhancement to this idea. The directory paths do not have to be identical, as long as the sub trees are identical. For the remote, and local provide a default path each as the starting directory for the subdirectories. When these paths are null, it would behave exactly as MacDisein suggested.

Example: Root path for local x:\abc\def
Root path for remote y:\pqr

When a local path x:\abc\def\g\h is selected, it automatically selects the remote y:\pqr\g\h if it exists.

These two paths needs to be part f the site specific profile. :!:

I could use a 686 version if you're up to it.
