Feature Request: Remember remote directory per site

#1 Post by fzbill » 2013-05-24 22:33

I didn't see any special Feature Request forum, and wasn't sure where to put this.

It would be nice if FZ remembered what remote server directory it was in during the last session,
for each site.

It remembers the last Windows directory, because I don't set that in the Site Manager.
I have several sites on my server, so I usually only log into one server.

It's nice (usually) that I'm back in the same Windows directory I was in.
But then I have to traverse down into the server directories to match it up.

I see that it has a "Use synchronized browsing" check box now.
I don't know how long that's been available.
I don't think it will work for me, though.
I suppose it might if I changed the way my directory structure is on my local computer.
That would be kind of a pain, though.

I would think it would be fairly easy to remember the remote directory.
You could have a "Remember remote directory" check box, and just store
the directory (as it changes?) in the "Default remote directory" text box (value).
Or create a new, hidden value to store it.
Either change it as it changes in the remote server, or when you close or quit.

I'm quite sure it has already been requested by someone else.
