I have a Dream... (suggest)

#1 Post by Yagxes94 » 2014-06-10 15:16

Hi everybody :)

Why, tell me why FileZila don't synchronise my files, server to server, in ssh or not ?
FileZilla can use the command rsynch (free & open source, install on new server), in a session, in a background.

I want to unrar an archive on my server, directly on my FileZilla client (under Windows). Like rsynch, he can use unrar (open and free to install on the server in ssh).

For a newbie (like me), he must more easier to manipulate some's files under FileZilla, with a simple interface under Windows.

If you don't want to extend FZ with this functionnality, please, it's possible to add a module (plug-in) to extend FileZilla ?

Yes, FileZilla must know all distributions for install rsynch, unrar and other stuff, but it's certainly not a problem for you.

Make my dream, come true please !

I begging you, please.... please...

When connected via FTP or SFTP, rsync cannot be used, rsync is a different protocol.

So, you tell me that FZ can not start rsync command on the server?

He must be possible to run a task directly between two server's !

Not possible using FileZilla. You need a client supporting SSH2 (like WinSCP), FileZilla does only support SFTP which has no shell/terminal.
No support requests over PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Please read Network Configuration.

Note that, even when using a shell, it still does not mean the rsync command does what you think it does. The shell isn't standardized. rsync might just as well format your harddrive or launch a large nation's nuclear arsenal.

it's a shame! If you can not make a mix putty / filezilla (it handles the mouse and operates in SSH protocol), it is a shame!

Ok, thanx for ur time :)
