first of all let me say hello from germany!
Next, let me tell you my problem ...
I have a dedicated Server with Linux CentOS as OS. I use FileZilla as my FTP Client.
I need a key to authentificate my client with the server. So i paste the pub key on the Server an integrate the private key in FileZilla - so far so good.
I has configure the Server so that the root login is not accepted so i login with user XYZ and use sudo su to make myself as a root - also good.
Now my issue: I want to connect via FileZilla to this Server and make a Backup from a specific folder. I use the IP als Server, my name (user name XYZ) and paste the port 22. The dialog open himself and i fill out my password - fine. Now i am via sftp on the Server. BUT: I am only as the normal user connected and not as the root. So i dont have the required rights. Is there a opportunity to make my self to root via a FileZilla command / parameter to become root?
