Copy & paste not working for password popup

Hi there,
I am new to FileZilla and am surprised that when it opens a Popup to ask for my password to connect to the server, I can manually type my password but pasting it from clipboard does not work.
Am I doing something wrong? As I work on MacOS - is that a MacOS specific problem for FileZilla?
In the days of KeePass where you never manually enter passwords anymore this seems to be like such an obvious feature that I can not believe this is not supported.
If so I will create an issue (however, I just discovered that to log into the tracker, I have to create yet another account - also unbelievable in the days of FIDO2 or github... do you want some technology consulting on proper tooling for driving OSS projects effectively?)
So any hints or feedback on this? Does it work for you to past the password into the popup?
