icon telling whether the server is running or not

Hi,
The Filezilla server starts running silently every times the computer is started. This is nice but may also create problems... The trouble is that there us really no indication that the server is running. Would it be possible to have an icon in the system tray (Win7, 8 or 10...) that shows you the server is running and which could be right clicked to close (block it). At this point, the only way to get such icon is to open the interface and from there close the server ... This will, indeed open an tray icon that will turn red when the server is put off-line. It also allows to turn the server on and the icon will change... The trouble is that as soon as we close the server window, the icon also disappear, whether the server is runing or not. Could this icon remain (or be among the hidden ones) so that we could easily check the server status ?

Don't close the window, minimize it.

Thank you for the fast reply.
Yes, I did find that. However, if we close the window, the icon disappear BUT the server keeps on running ... without us having the possibility to see that it is running unless restarting the interface. This is why I was wondering whether an icon could remain to tell us that the server is (or is not) active (even if we have closed the windows).

The server service and the user interface are different programs. The server service can run even if you the user are not yet logged into your operating system yet.

If you close the user interface then obviously there is no way to display whether the server service is running.

You must leave the (minimized) Interface process running, to get the icon, it's supposed to be that way. In the settings, set the Interface to startup minimized, so the window won't appear, only the icon.
