hi, i'm just a newbie to FTP but i like it like that!

and love the program BTW

and wonder if you know of a site or sites where a newbie might learn a little bit about FTP and the handshaking ( in easy to understand language?)

I've lots of information, so I'm not sure if they are easy to understand.

For more information about FTP, please read RFC 959 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc959.html)

For further information about extesions to the FTP protocol, you may also read RFC 2228, RFC 2640 and RFC 2428. Also the description of the MODE Z command may be interesting: http://www1.ietf.org/internet-drafts/dr ... ate-02.txt
