I translated that as "Finishing editing", since I don't find an proper word in Hungarian for "Unedit" either. 8)

I thought that it could mean something like "Cancel the editing" or "Close the editor and forget about this file"...

Yes, as in "editor is closed, forget about the file"

Hello Tim!

I'm the current translator for spanish (es_ES).

With every new release of FileZilla I send the updated .po file to you and I know that it takes another few days to update in the web and FileZilla archive.

But since 3.0.3 (that is about 3 new .po files after) the .po file that I send is not being updated in the web/archive.

I dont know why this happens, I also sent many emails asking for this but no response at all, maybe my emails go the Junk mail folder for any reason?.

I have no idea. I remember your mails, but I have no idea why the updated files aren't in the repository.

So?... what is the solution?

By the way, I sent you the 3.0.5.2 es_ES .po about 16hours ago. Did you received it?. How long will take to make it public?.

I put my bests in doing this translation and mantain it updated, if it doesnt get published I feel like doing work that go to anywhere.

Translation to Swedish.

Even though most of it already is translated some obvious parts aren't.
I find mixing languages in an application to be...well...annoying.

Expected completion : Early February 2008 ;-)

G'day everyone

I'm the project leader of a volunteer translation project to translate a number of opensource programs into various languages. You can read more about the project here:
http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/d ... n/mainpage

We are looking for programs to translate, and I think we would enjoy helping to translate FileZilla, because it runs on Windows and Linux and makes use of the PO file format. For this reason I would like to know a few things about the FileZilla translation system.

It looks to me like the FileZilla translation drive is managed rather informally, am I right? A translator basically downloads the partial translation of his language, adds some translations, and e-mails it back. So, how do you ensure that there aren't more than one translator busy on a single language file at the same time? How can a new translator determine whether an existing translator is busy with a translation of FileZilla?

How do the site admin handle conflicting translations? Or do they simply assume that the latest translation is the best one, and overwrites all previous ones with the latest file?

I look forward to your responses.

Sincerely
Samuel Murray

Correct.

All the .po files should contain the email address of the last translator. A new translator can always contact the previous one.

It doesn't happen that often. In the few times it has happened before I committed the one from the previously more active translator.

Ideally I'd like a web-based translation management system, but all existing solutions don't offer all the features I'd like. And to write a custom one I lake the time.

Hi Tim,

How can I reproduce the strings "world executable", "world readable", "owner writable" etc, that 9 strings totally. I coudn't find where they appear....
I read that it's Unix things, but I'm using Windows... So is there a way for me to see how they appears?

BTW Hungarian language is updated upto nightly build 2008-03-23 (1100 strings), and sent.

Used on filter edit dialog on *nix systems. "Permission" "world writeable" "is not set".

Doesn't appear on Windows unless there already is a filter with said condition (e.g. copied from a linux system).

Please copy the attached filters.xml into FileZilla's settings directory and see for yourself.
