Missing Features

Hi,

I have worked on Cuteftp and I wanted to switch to Filezilla becuase its free. But after switching and working a bit i found that FileZilla lacks some of the very basic features due to which I had to revert back to CuteFTP. The features are quite basic and it helps a lot:

1. Filezilla has no sounds - I mean when file is transfered or if its an error Filezilla should play a wave etc.

2. FileZilla does'nt supports multiple connections. I mean i cannot open 2 or more ftp connections at same time. I have to disconnect from 1 and then join the other.

3. No shortcut key to open files. The option is there but shortcut key is not there. So i have to click on the file, then right click and click on Open to open a file.

I guess these features can make it a bit more better. I hope to see these features soon in FileZilla.

1. There is: right click queue-Action after queue completion-Play sound
2. You can start Filezilla multiple times.

Hi,

Action is not working properly in FileZilla. I set action to play sound. After completing the job, FileZilla Play's sound and then reverts the action back to Nothing. I have to set action everytime. Its not remebering the action I am trying to use.

Any fix ?

It's intentional. Because if you set e.g. action 'Shutdown' and forget about it next time...

Maybe there should be an exception for some of these.

It's a bot. The default CAPTCHA on phpBB isn't that effective, so it's been cracked by bots.

I suppose they could implement reCAPTCHA or ASIRRA, but that would take some effort.

If this type of spam keeps on happening then forums will die soon. Every forum is being hit by spammers.

I hope not, reCAPTCHA does not work properly if you use noScript. ASIRRA I don't know, but it's likely not better.

Feature requests go to http://trac.filezilla-project.org, and use the search function first before posting anything.

I hope not, reCAPTCHA does not work properly if you use noScript. ASIRRA I don't know, but it's likely not better.

Whitelist *.filezilla-project.org and *.recaptcha.net.

NoScript isn't so you never run JavaScript. It's so you can control which ones to run. If you just want to be a Luddite and disable JavaScript everywhere, go into Options --> Content and disable JavaScript or go into about:config and set javascript.enabled to false. No need to run a third party add-on.
