1.Run Disk Doctors Digital Media Recovery Software by double clicking on the desktop or from Programs list in Start menu.
2. Select the physical drive which has lost / deleted files that needs to be recovered and click “Next”
3. Select image file types you wish to recover as shown in Figure a and click “Next”
As you click Next button, the program scans the selected media for image files and lists all the found files in a tree format grouped according to their file types as shown in Figure b.
You can now restore your recovered data to a safe location. All the data will be saved in a new folder by name
"DigitalMediaRecovery XXXX *" in the selected destination location.
You can preview the file before recovery using "Preview" option. To preview the file, double click on the file whose preview is to be seen. This will show the preview of the file before you could recover it.
Never copy / save anything to the drive from which data needs to be recovered. This may cause overwriting of recovering data and would cause permanent data loss.

Re: How to recover deleted image files step by step
All these five suggestions look good. I would also like to add in<possible advertisement>. Not sure if you guys have heard of it, but I personally tried it after accidentally deleting JPEG files in my digital camera compact flash memory card. It was very helpful, and easy to download.
