FTP with Wordpress Installation?

FTP with Wordpress Installation?

Kind of a stupid question maybe but...

I want to start uploading to my website http://example.com and wondering if i do if it will screw anything up with my Wordpress installation?

As long as you don't overwrite any WP-related files it should be fine. Almost all of the WP contents are in its database, anyway (not reachable as a file).
