FTP solution for my website

I am working on a website and I was told that I would need an FTP solution and I came across this website. Can I use this software for my website?

If the hoster supports FTP or SFTP access, sure. But you are not allowed to link to third-party sites here, especially commercial. You might be treated as a spammer, then.
