Which Files Should I Remove From My Domain Directory-(if any)?

#1 Post by DelN » 2014-11-29 21:23

Hello, everyone.

Here's my situation. I've so far managed to connect to my host and get a look at the directory for my domain. In the past, using WordPress, in order to upload a template to begin my site building, I needed to uninstall a "theme". Well, here I sit looking at this directory tree, and it occurs to me that the files I'm seeing, if they were in WordPress, would collectively comprise the theme. (Do stop me here if I don't have at least that much right). Anyway, I'm getting ready to build some marketing websites, and I already have some site templates (sales pages, download pages, etc.) sitting on my computer. They're grouped just like the directory at my host, but I am uncertain of which files I'm supposed to remove from the host and which ones I'm supposed to upload.

I fear that the file and directory structure of a Wordpress installation is beyond the scope of these forums. To get a satisfactory answer, please ask in a Wordpress forum.

FileZilla provides only generic tools for file transfer or hosting. We do not support anything website-specific.
