Editing - Saving Files In Folders

#1 Post by scribbler » 2015-02-09 15:09

Can I update a mistake in my Wordpress URL directs in this screenshot:

and that last word (banking) needs to be changed to "business" so when I have that open next time, I change it but then where do I click to "save/publish" back to my web host? In upper left of that "htaccess - Notepad" in the FILE> dropdown?

For those using Wordpress, I hope you can realize my cautionary approach and question. Thanks (just want to be sure and do this correctly)

If you used the remote View/Edit feature in FileZilla it should ask you to upload the file back to the server as soon as you save it.

Please note that .htaccess is a delicate file, security-wise. Many servers will outright deny any overwrite attempt for it. In that case the server support staff should be able to assist.
No support requests per PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!
FTP connection problems? Do yourself a favor and read Network Configuration.
