changes not taking effect after uploading

changes not taking effect after uploading

I have uploaded new changes from my local to remote server to the correct directories and it tells me that files have been loaded correctly, but when I go to check my website to see if the changes have taken place I have noticed that they have not changed, at this point I am only changing text, any advice, getting frustrated now!!

Clear browser cache and try again.

Thanks for advice but clearing browsing cache did not work???

Did you overwrite the old files? If not, you might have not uploaded to the correct directory, or might not be using the correct names (everything is case sensitive). Everything else needs to be investigated by your hosting company.

If you are using Chrome:
Press "CTRL"+"F5" (delete browser cache)
or
Press "CTRL"+"SHIFT"+"N" (open a Privat Browser)

If you are using Mozilla Firefox:
Press "CTRL"+"F5" (delete browser cache)
or
Press "CTRL"+"SHIFT"+"P" (open a Privat Browser)

Private Browsing does not use cache.
