Hello,
on a forum I found this:
nano /etc/proftpd.passwd
admin:something/:501:502:system:/home/admin:/bin/false
change /home/admin into / and then whit admin ftp yoy have access to it all.
I now have ftp access to all root files etc. But i can not add files/folders. Some one has a solution for this?

The user the ftp software runs under does not have that privileges. There is absolutely no reason for anyone except the system itself to write there.
Running the ftp software under the root account would be the way to gain write access (best way to trash your Linux install tho).

Hello,
well then I explane why I asked that question. I have a remote desktop so I can run windows applications on Linux. My problem is that I can't get folders uploaded to folders on the remote desktop. Just ftp user don't work. Do you know a safe solution for this?
