Filezilla Server and Non-Filezilla Client

#1 Post by mkeppy » 2016-02-19 18:10

Hello,

We have the Filezilla server set up and when asking our clients to upload data, we ask them to install the FileZilla client version. Some IT folks are reluctant to install a new software or they delay the process for review and approval of installation of a new process. Question is: can folks upload data to our server using a different ftp client? Some are using IPSwitch WS_FTP and some have even tried SyncBack PRO, which I believe is a backup software with capabilities to upload to ftp sites.

Thank you!
mk

You can use each and every standards-compliant FTP client to transfer files to/from FileZilla Server.
