The current version of Filezilla prevents shrinking work panes below a minimum size.

Allowing the user to minimize the local files pane would save screen space when simply managing files on the server, and would prevent accidental drag-and-drops when using a third-party file manager.

The proposed tweak allows shrinking of local files to at least the height of the location bar and drop down/ scroll button. This would allow for easy minimizing of local files or other work panes without loss of functionality.

See attached screen shot and examples.

I have to admit I've never used this panel... Meaning I'm fine with it being removed.
