Hello!
Here's a question for specialists, since I just can't understand what's happening to me/my computer (or whatever else?)
I've recently opened a web hosting account. For three long days, I've been trying to open the control panel. Every time I tried, Firefox would tell me that I couldn't, which was only the beginning.
Why? I don't know. So I asked the assistance service, which answered me very fast and very nice (a girl called Faith): there would be absolutely no problem at all... And they sounded absolutely sincere. Faith gave me some tricks: I should type my server name inbetween...
Well, Ok. I tried to open some loopback connection: 127.0.0.1 or localhost... Result? The same as with the failed cp connection:
Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost.
* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
I've been using Firefow for the last two years without ANY problem of the kind. Could you please help me at least understand what happens?
Thank you very much in advance!
