If there is anyone that has been able to get the latest version of Filezilla server working correctly on win 7 with verizon fios can you please help me. I had it running fine on XP and Vista but can get anyone to remote connect to me. Thanks in advance.
Re: Windows 7 with Server
Using any firewall?
Re: Windows 7 with Server
Hi, had same problem. go to Start->Control Panel->Windows Firewall push text on left side - Allow a program or feature through Windows firewall, and add FileZilla to the list ticking both boxes to allow Home and Public network. Hope it helps.
Re: Windows 7 with Server
Running Windows 7 with Norton Firewall. I've got it set accept in and out contacts. Inbound can't connect.
Re: Windows 7 with Server
I had the same problem and just solved it!
(for win7)
Go
Start->Control Panel->System and Security->Windows Firewall
Select "Advance settings" on your the left side menu.
On your left again, right click on "Inbound Rules" and select "New rule..."
Select "Port" on radio buttons then "Next" and then you have to specify the protocol (TCP) and the port you want to open (probably 21).
Click next leave it as is ("Allow the connection"), same with the next tab, and finally set a name to the new rule (I name as "Ftp Server")
I hope I helped (I am not really an expert, so, if I did some mistakes forgive me )

Spend time to think before you do.
