#1 Post by Civic Chix » 2009-07-11 08:45

Hi all,

Not sure if anyone can help, but I have moved and now changed my internet type and need to connect my server to a BT hub instead of cable access

I done everything i thought i needed to do, but still can't get access and trying to access through window IE it says the server isn't there and just loads the cant connect page. :? :?

Can anyne help, there is only 1 person trying to access this

Thanks

Try changing the listening port(FileZilla server interface -> edit -> settings) to something other than 21.. like 2121.
Make sure to change the port forwarding settings as well.

Still doesn't work after that post the 'Test log' from this: https://ftptest.net/

I can't get the test to work, it keeps saying that every IP address I put in is a private one and won't let me continue.

I've tried mine, the routers and the server IP

that log appears to show a wrong password, probably the "@" and IP address doesn't need to be there.

If you were trying to format a complete FTP connection URL with user+pass in it it would look something like this ftp://user:pass@ftpurloripaddressdotcom:port

Apart from myself using loogged onto the server, I have 1 other user at thats it.
All this worked perfectly on Virgin through a Netgear Router.

I have no accounts set up as anon, only 1 named account.

Hmm?
Command: USER anonymous

It's attempting to connect as anonymous.
