I'm attempting to setup my computer as an FTP Server, but keeping getting a timeout error when I test it using ftptest.net.
I've set my router to forward the appropriate ports to my internal IP address, set my firewall to allow Filezilla full access to the internet and opened matching ports in my firewall for FTP.
I've tried changing filezilla's passive service setting to a fixed external IP address and allowing it to search for a changing IP address. I've also tried changing the ports I'm using from the default of 20-21 to numbers above 1420.
Any suggestions on what I'm missing?
OS: Windows XP SP3
ISP: Comcast Cable
Modem/Router: Linksys Wireless G Cable Gateway
McAfee firewall: enable with ports open (also tried with it disabled)
Windows firewall: disabled
Thanks in advance for the help...

Re: Have read server set-up guide...still stuck
I am having the same problem with almost the exact same setup except that I am using the Windows firewall. If I disable the firewall I can connect successfully.
In Windows Firewall:
I have enabled ports 20 & 21 for TCP.
I have added the Filezilla Server Interface application.
Thanks for any help,
Greg.
