Filezilla Server Service affects Logitech Webcam Software

#1 Post by visitor » 2009-11-24 13:12

Hello there

I am having a certain problem that when the Filezilla Server Service is running, my Logitech Webcam Software is getting locked up and does no longer respond. Also, I can no longer access the Sound Settings in Windows 7's Control Panel. When I disable the Filezilla Server Service and restart the computer, everything goes back to normal.

System:

Win 7 Ultimate 64bit (Core2Duo E8400, Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 (rev. 2.1), 5GB RAM)
Filezilla Server 0.9.33

I wonder if anyone has experienced a similar problem and if there's a solution.

Have a nice day!

My best guess would be something wrong with your system. How was Windows 7 installed? Fresh installation from a real Windows 7 installation CD, update installation from Vista, install from a recovery CD or worst of all, preinstalled on the computer you bought?

Are you sure this is caused by FZS and not by any other MinGW software you're running? There are known interferences between MinGW / Cygwin programs and the Logitech webcam driver, see e.g.
