Disable FileZilla Server Interface Login Auto-Open

#1 Post by mattsayers » 2010-02-04 18:04

Whenever I log into the computer with FileZilla server installed, the FileZilla Admin Interface Login dialog opens up. I have set FileZilla to open minimized so at least the whole interface isn't up. However, I think it is very annoying to always be prompted to log into the FileZilla server unless I try to start the interface. Is there a way to turn this "feature" off?

Thanks,
Matt Sayers

Reinstall, select wanted startup option during setup.

Ok. That's not too helpful. What are the options I don't want to check to make sure this dialog (login to FileZilla server) is not displayed? There isn't an option to NOT display this login dialog box.

I want Filezilla Server to start as a service in Windows. I don't need it to prompt me to login each time an admin logs in. We can double click on the FileZilla tray icon to manage it.

Simply select the option not to start the administration interface automatically during setup.

The Auto-Start is set in the Registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You can remove it (back up first) and it won't start on logon any more.

"Choose it on install" is not a very helpful response if its already installed and anyone making that response should be ashamed of themselves.

First, if you remove the Admin Interface from Autostart, there will not be a tray icon anymore, because that tray icon IS the Admin Interface.

When being asked to login, did you select "Automatically connect to this server at startup"?
