Need to define local network!

#1 Post by nsumner » 2011-06-07 05:09

I have my FTP server in the DMZ.

Many programs work fine connecting in PASSV mode and all is well in the world, but one program that is on the internal network (not DMZ) but no NAT between them, will not transfer anything when in passive mode. This program is a custom poorly written program but it is the main reason I need the FTP server!

If I don't set a IP and use default settings this program works fine. I suspect the problem is that I don't have NAT going and it just confuses the whole thing, since it is a different network. Is it possible to set the networks defined as local? IE I could put in the DMZ network 192.168.10.0/24, and the internal network say 172.20.0.0/16?
