Can't connect through admin interface after upgrade

After i updated to the latest version i can no longer connect though the admin interface even on the same machine that the server is on. What should i check first?

You have to enter the password for the admin interface even for local connections now. In case you forgot your password, edit 'FileZilla Server.xml' and delete the password from it.

ok i swear i tried that before and it didn't work but it is working no so thanks for the help.
