people can't connect anymore

#1 Post by carrot » 2006-07-05 13:13

I am stuggling here. No one can connect to my server completly. They can partial connect, but not all the way. The problem started when i got a new router (WRT54G v6 with DD-WRT firmware on it).
anyway, here is the message in the server

I can't figgure out what is wrong, it looks perfect up until it brakes....

Update: When I put the computer in the DMZ, everything works fine. I know the port forward works though because other programs that use it have no problem.

Please read the FAQ and configure your server and router properly.

When I read your reply, I thought, "Oh, thats GREAT help... JUST what I needed." Then I read the faq, and...... It actually worked. So thanx botg!

P.S. The problem was that I hadn't forwarded any ports for passive connections (5000-5100) Although, oddly, I didn't have to do that with my other router....
