I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me here. I have just set up the Filezilla server and client successfully. They work fine with no problem. This uses the default port 21. Then, i went to set up SSL that uses port 990. The certificate was generated. I got it popping up when connecting to the FTP server via port 990. However, it couldn't retrieve the directory listing. I have set the router to allow the ports 990 (incoming and outgoing) but to no avail. However, if i turned off the firewall altogether, it worked. I got the listing out. I don't understand this. how do i find out if it's using other ports than 990. And i can't afford to leave my firewall off at all time.
