FZS on Windows 2003 Enterprise R2

#1 Post by confy » 2006-08-12 10:46

Just reïnstalled the server previously running the FZS. When i try to enable SSL/TLS and use the previously created key or the 3rd party .pem key (both worked on w2k3 server) i get an error "Failed to load SSL libraries".

I also get that error when i try to generate a new license.

Perhaps a permission problem. Do ssleay32.dll and ssleay32.dll exist inside the program directory and are accessible by FileZilla Server?
Also, do any other DLLs with this name exist somewhere on the system which might be loaded already?

It appeared the I installed an old version, 0.9.10. After removing that and installing version 0.9.18 the certificate was accepted and I communications over SSL function properly.

Looks like it is w2k3 R2 proof also :D

Strange Server 2003 Problem

#4 Post by jzalger » 2006-08-14 14:39

Hi,

We are trying to run FZS on a windows server 2003 which also is acting as a gateway. When we setup and configure filezilla server, it seems to only want to function on the 'local' or intranet side of the server and is not available on the external side of the server, which is what we are aiming for. I have looked through all the firewall technology I could think of and as far as I can tell everything should be disabled. Is there a separate configuration that needs to be done to switch the service over to run on the other IP?

Thanks for all your help,

Jonathan
