Can not connect to server

I have a windows/apache server behind a router on dsl. The router goes in to a switch which connects to the dsl modem.

My client machine is behind a different router which connects to the same switch behind the dsl modem.

This works fine with windows/apache and my domain names and ip address from ie browser for testing.

so far I have not been able to even get the network tray icon on the server to even flicker.

Server has your server software and the client has your client software.

basic install to username and passord. web ip address, localhost, server machine ip. All no go.

Any help appreciated.
