I might be missing the point, but aren't aliases used to put a shortcut to a folder into another folder?
Thats what I'm trying to do anyway. I've set up a group to have a home folder at c:\ftproot and I want to be able to access files on d:\ and c:\. Can anyone fill me in on how to do this?
Thanks,
~Ryan

Alias isn't working for me, even with above help
I have a networked drive Z:, and tried creating an alias to it for admins group as "/bigdrive". The alias displays when I connect, but when I open it up, it is as if the drive is empty... which it definitely is not. That is, I cannot see any of the files. However, when I double-click the mapping to the drive within the server console, it opens up a browser window to it perfectly, so the mapping is correct.
For another group, I have a directory on the Z drive as Z:\MovieStock. I tried to create an alias as \MovieStock, but it doesn't list at all for users of that group. That is, they can see their home directory stuff, just not any of the aliases I've created for them.
