Problem with Right for user with Filezilla Server 0.9.1b

#1 Post by dnaton » 2004-07-21 07:50

I have Filezilla Server installed on a Windows XP Pro with SP1a.

When i create a user and i give him right to access a shared folder, there is no problem.

But when i want to give him right to a second shared folder, it's don't work : this user connect to the ftp server and show only the firs shared folder !!!

I've try with different rights (all th right or just read plus list directory), with relative link or not, with different client ftp : it's the same.

Has anybody an idea ? Is it a bug or a mystake from myself ?
Thanks,

Damien

It's don't work fine. Maybe i don't explain correctly my problem.

I have the directory below :

C:\documents
- download
- private
- shared
programs
- install
- office
- video

How can I give the right to a user to see and make all in the c:\document\download (without the permissionto see the other directory in c:\document) and only to see and download file from c:\programs\install (without the permission to see anything else in the directory c:\programs) ?
Thanks,

Damien

Add both c:\documents\download and c:\programs\install as shared folders.

To the install folder, add c:\documents\download\myfolder as alias. Once done, a new folder called myfolder (you can rename it to anything you like) will appear in the download folder if browsing the server.

thank you for this response :)

It's work fine.

Just a remark : the windows who we can see the directory and the alias is too small.
Thanks,

Damien
