SSL/TLS - no homedir

#1 Post by Rover » 2007-05-05 12:55

Hi everone,

I have opened a firewall port 21 to allow friends to connect to my ftp-site.
Everything is working fine. But now I like to force them to use SSL/TLS.
When I try to connect from my LAN everythings seems to work fine. But when my friend wants to connect he reports he can't see wants in his ftp-homedir. Before I used SSL/TLS he could
Must I also open the default port 9090 on my router? Or could there be another problem.
Is there a HOWTO for this? And is there a way I could test the working. (The ftp-site http://www.web2ftp.com isn't operational anymore)

Thanks for the reply. The problem was the router. I had to open some ports 5000-5100.
Thanks for the support
