Rename Command Fails from MVS Client

#1 Post by blanecatledge » 2007-05-07 20:59

I have setup FileZilla server to allow our mainframe users to copy data from the mainframe to the FileZilla server. When connected from a FileZilla client, I have no issue renaming files. When connected from the mainframe client, my users receive an error message. Is this a bug with FileZilla, or with my mainframe client. What specific information do I need to get from mainframe people if so?

(000005) 5/7/2007 13:31:41 PM - user (mainframe)> RNFR toddt.test
(000005) 5/7/2007 13:31:41 PM - user (mainframe)> 550 Permission denied

(000006) 5/7/2007 13:39:11 PM - user (filezilla client)> RNFR /todd1.test
(000006) 5/7/2007 13:39:11 PM - user (filezilla client)> 350 File exists, ready for destination name.
(000006) 5/7/2007 13:39:11 PM - user (filezilla client)> RNTO /todd.test
(000006) 5/7/2007 13:39:11 PM - user (filezilla client)> 250 file renamed successfully

I have the log if would like me to email it to you.
Thanks
Blane

Are both connections in the same directory when sending the RNFR command?

The issue has been resolved. MVS Rename works just fine when you enter the correct file to be renamed :-)
Thanks for the great product!
Thanks
